When we Study to love and know God, we allow Jesus to illuminate our own hearts first. We can’t share light we haven’t received.

When we Serve through love in action, we demonstrate that Jesus’ presence makes a practical difference in the real world.
How Jesus Illuminates Our Lives
Jesus promises, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12). His presence:
- Gives purpose where there was confusion
- Brings meaning where there was emptiness
- Offers direction where there was aimlessness
- Provides peace where there was anxiety
You don’t need to figure everything out before Jesus shows up. The disciples were still talking, still confused, still working through their doubts when Jesus appeared among them. He meets you right where you are.
Your Witness Matters
Just as the disciples were transformed by Jesus’ presence andbecame witnesses, you’re called to be a witness too. Your goal—and ours at Lakeview Christian Church—is to flip the light switch for others, helping them see the message of Jesus in their hearts.
You don’t need to be a theologian. You don’t need perfect answers. You simply need to share what Jesus’ presence has done in your life. How He’s brought you peace in chaos. How He’s given you confidence in confusion. How He’s transformed your fear into faith.
The Difference-Maker
The disciples asked themselves the same question we should ask: What made the difference? The answer wasn’t a program, a technique, or a self-help strategy. It was the presence of Jesus.
When Jesus shows up:
- Hearts that were troubled find peace (John 14:27)
- Lives that were aimless discover mission (Matthew 28:19-20)
- People who were hiding step into boldness (Acts 4:13)
