Recognizing Our Need for Jesus

need

At Lakeview Christian Church, we emphasize the importance of recognizing our need for Jesus. Our mission to “Be the Change” starts with understanding our own brokenness and the healing that only Jesus can provide. The sermon highlights the necessity of realizing our spiritual sickness before we can be healed. Matthew, the tax collector, understood his need for Jesus and accepted His call (Luke 5:27-32). This acknowledgment is the first step toward transformation and healing.

Study: Deepening Our Understanding of Our Need

Studying the Bible helps us understand our spiritual condition and our need for Jesus. Scriptures like Romans 3:23 remind us that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Engage in personal Bible study or join a group at Lakeview to explore these truths and deepen your understanding of your need for Jesus. Through study, we gain insight into God’s grace and the redemption available through Christ.

Share: Inviting Others to Experience Jesus

Once we recognize our need for Jesus, we are called to share this transformative experience with others. Like Matthew, who invited his friends to meet Jesus, we too can invite others to experience His love (Matthew 9:10-13). Host a small gathering or invite friends to a church service. Sharing your journey can encourage others to seek Jesus. At Lakeview, we believe that sharing our faith is a vital part of our mission to be the change in our community.

Serve: Demonstrating Our Need Through Service

Serving others is a way to demonstrate our reliance on Jesus. When we serve, we acknowledge that we are not self-sufficient and that we need Jesus’ strength to love and help others. Volunteer for service projects at Lakeview or in your community. Serving is a practical way to live out our faith and show others the love of Christ. As we serve, we reflect the heart of Jesus, who came not to be served, but to serve (Matthew 20:28).

Conclusion

Jesus’ invitation is open to all. By accepting His call, our lives are changed, and we are empowered to share His love with others. Join us at Lakeview Christian Church as we continue to study, share, and serve in His name. Together, we can be the change, recognizing our need for Jesus and inviting others to experience His transformative love.
