🪨 When life shakes — and it will — what are you standing on?
This Sunday we continue Summer in the Psalms with one of the most powerful songs David ever wrote. Psalm 18 isn’t written in the middle of the storm. It’s written on the other side of it.
David had been hunted. Betrayed. Nearly killed. For years he lived as a fugitive with everything stripped away.
But when deliverance finally came — he didn’t celebrate his own cleverness.
He celebrated God’s faithfulness.
Here's what Psalm 18 wants you to know:
🏔️ The God who is your Rock has never moved — not once
🙏 He hears every prayer, every tear, every cry in the middle of the night
⚡ He moves all of creation on behalf of His people
⚔️ He doesn’t just rescue you — He equips you and goes with you
🎉 And when you’ve seen all that He’s done — the only response left is praise
Maybe today you feel like David in the cave. Surrounded by uncertainty. Pressed by fear. Overwhelmed by circumstances.
The God who delivered David has not changed.
The God who raised Jesus from the dead has not changed.
The God who sustains His church today has not changed.
So here’s the question: What would change if you actually ran to the Rock?
