Trusting God’s Presence in Life’s Disruptions

disruption

Life is full of unexpected disruptions, but at Lakeview Christian Church of Portage Lakes, we find comfort in the promise that God is with us. Our mission is to “Be the change as Jesus has changed us” through “Just 3” – Study, Share, Serve. Today, we explore how trusting in God’s presence helps us navigate life’s challenges and live out our faith.

Study: The Promise of God’s Presence

The story of Mary is a powerful reminder of God’s presence in the midst of life’s disruptions. When the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, her life was forever changed. Yet, she was assured of God’s presence with the words, “The Lord is with you” (Luke 1:28). This promise is not just for Mary; it is for all believers.

Isaiah 41:10 encourages us, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” As we study God’s Word, we learn to trust in His presence and rely on His strength, even in the face of life’s disruptions.

Share: Supporting One Another Through Life’s Challenges

In times of disruption, we are not alone. God places people in our lives to support and encourage us. At Lakeview Christian Church, we are committed to sharing our lives with one another, building a community of faith that uplifts and inspires. Galatians 6:2 instructs us to “carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

By sharing our struggles and victories, we encourage others to trust in God’s presence and power. Together, we can stand firm in faith, knowing that God is with us every step of the way.

Serve: Responding to Disruptions with Faith and Action

Life’s disruptions often present opportunities to serve others. As we trust in God’s presence, we are empowered to respond with faith and action. Even when the path is uncertain, we can rely on God’s guidance and strength.

In Romans 8:28, we read, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” This verse reminds us that God is at work in every situation, using even the disruptions for our good and His glory. At Lakeview Christian Church, we encourage everyone to serve, trusting that God will use our efforts to accomplish His purposes.

Conclusion: The promise of God’s presence is a source of strength and encouragement in our lives. At Lakeview Christian Church, we are committed to living out this promise by studying God’s Word, sharing our lives, and serving others. As we trust in God’s presence, we find the courage to face life’s disruptions and live out our faith. Let us be the change as Jesus has changed us, confident that God is with us every day.
