From Sadness to Joy: Experiencing God’s Deliverance

deliverance

Life is filled with challenges and trials that can leave us feeling overwhelmed and fearful. Yet, as the story of Esther reminds us, what may seem like a time of sadness can become a day of deliverance and joy. At Lakeview Christian Church of Portage Lakes, we are called to “Be the change as Jesus has changed us,” and we do this through “Just 3” – Study, Share, Serve. Let’s explore how we can experience God’s deliverance in our lives and celebrate His faithfulness.

The Threat of Haman in Our Lives

In the story of Esther, the threat of Haman loomed large, yet God was at work behind the scenes. Similarly, we may face trials and fears that seem insurmountable. However, when we remain faithful, God delivers us from these challenges. We must not miss the blessing of celebrating what God has done and will do through us, no matter the circumstances.

Study: Recognizing God’s Faithfulness

To experience God’s deliverance, we must first recognize His faithfulness throughout history. Romans 8:28 assures us, “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” By studying God’s Word, we are reminded of His promises and His ability to deliver us from any situation.

Share: Testimonies of Deliverance

Sharing testimonies of God’s deliverance can inspire others to trust Him in their own lives. Psalm 107:2 says, “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he has redeemed from trouble.” When we share how God has delivered us, we testify to His power and encourage others to seek His deliverance.

Serve: Being Instruments of Deliverance

Serving others can also be a way to participate in God’s deliverance. By helping those in need, we become instruments of God’s love and grace. James 1:27 reminds us, “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.” Through service, we can bring hope and healing to those who are struggling.

Conclusion

As we face the challenges of life, let us remember that God is with us, working behind the scenes to bring about our deliverance. At Lakeview Christian Church of Portage Lakes, we are committed to “Be the change as Jesus has changed us” through “Just 3” – Study, Share, Serve. By trusting in God’s faithfulness, sharing our testimonies, and serving others, we can experience the fullness of His blessings and be a light in the world.
