At Lakeview Christian Church of Portage Lakes, our mission is to “Be the Change as Jesus has changed us.” We do this through our “Just 3” initiative: Study, Share, and Serve. We study to love and know God, share to know and love others, and serve to put love into action. Today, we delve into the transformative power of the Gospel as highlighted in Jim’s sermon, focusing on Romans 1:16.

In Romans 1:16, Paul declares, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” This verse encapsulates the essence of the Gospel’s power. Share: To Know and Love Others
Sharing our faith is crucial. Romans 10:14-15 asks, “How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?” By sharing the Gospel, we help others come to know and love Jesus.
Serve: Love in Action
Serving others is the practical application of our faith. James 2:17 states, “So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” Serving allows us to put our love into action, demonstrating the transformative power of the Gospel in tangible ways.
