Day 1: The Game of Hide and Seek

Scripture: Luke 15:1-7

Reflection: The sermon draws a parallel between the childhood game of hide and seek and our spiritual journey. Just as in the game, we often find ourselves hiding from God, whether out of fear, shame, or misunderstanding. Yet, God is the ultimate seeker, always searching for us with love and grace. Reflect on areas in your life where you might be hiding from God. What fears or misconceptions are keeping you from stepping into the light?

Prayer: Lord, help me to stop hiding and to step into Your light. Thank You for seeking me out with love and grace. Amen.

Day 2: You Matter to God

Scripture: Luke 15:8-10

Reflection: The parable of the lost coin reminds us of our inherent value to God. Just as the woman searched diligently for her lost coin, God searches for us because we are precious to Him. Our worth is not determined by worldly standards but by the love of our Creator. Consider how you view your own value. Do you see yourself as God sees you?

Prayer: Father, thank You for valuing me beyond measure. Help me to see myself through Your eyes and to live in the truth of my worth in You. Amen.

Day 3: The Prodigal’s Return

Scripture: Luke 15:11-24

Reflection: The story of the prodigal son is a powerful illustration of repentance and grace. When the son came to his senses and returned home, he was met with open arms and celebration. This is how God responds to us when we turn back to Him. Reflect on any areas of your life where you need to “come to your senses” and return to God.

Prayer: Lord, I repent of my wanderings and return to You. Thank You for Your open arms and the grace that welcomes me home. Amen.

Day 4: The Father’s Love

Scripture: Psalm 34:18

Reflection: The sermon highlights the image of the father running to his son, a powerful depiction of God’s eagerness to forgive and restore us. God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Reflect on the times you have felt distant from God and remember that He is always ready to run to you with love and compassion.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unfailing love and compassion. Help me to always remember that You are near, ready to embrace me with open arms. Amen.

Day 5: Being Jesus to the World

Scripture: Matthew 5:14-16

Reflection: As followers of Christ, we are called to be the light of the world, sharing the love and truth of Jesus with others. The sermon challenges us to see every person as valuable to God and to share the gift of Jesus with them. Reflect on how you can be a light in your community and help others find their way home to God.

Prayer: Lord, empower me to be a light in the world. Help me to see others as You see them and to share Your love and truth with those around me. Amen.

Each day, take time to meditate on the scripture, reflect on the questions, and pray the prayer. Allow God to speak to your heart and guide you in your journey of faith.
