Day 1: The Excitement of the Parade
Scripture: John 12:12-15
Reflection: Remember the excitement of parades from your childhood. Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem was a moment of great anticipation and joy. Reflect on how you welcome Jesus into your life. Are you filled with excitement and expectation?
Prayer: Lord, fill my heart with joy and anticipation for Your presence in my life. Help me to welcome You with open arms and a willing spirit.
Day 2: The Spectators and Their Expectations
Scripture: Psalm 118:25-26
Reflection: The crowd shouted “Hosanna,” hoping for a political savior. Reflect on your expectations of Jesus. Are they aligned with His true mission and purpose?
Prayer: Jesus, help me to align my expectations with Your will. Teach me to seek Your kingdom first and trust in Your perfect plan for my life.
Day 3: The Indifference of the Pacifists
Scripture: Luke 7:1-10
Reflection: The Roman soldiers were indifferent to Jesus’ entry. Consider areas in your life where you might be indifferent to Jesus’ presence and work.
Prayer: Father, awaken my heart to Your presence. Remove any indifference and help me to be fully engaged in Your work and purpose.
Day 4: The Instigators and Their Pride
Scripture: Isaiah 29:13
Reflection: The Pharisees were blinded by pride and missed the Messiah. Reflect on any pride or stubbornness in your life that might hinder your relationship with Jesus.
Prayer: Lord, humble my heart and remove any pride that blinds me to Your truth. Help me to seek a genuine relationship with You.
Day 5: Becoming a Participant
Scripture: Revelation 7:9-10
Reflection: The disciples were participants in Jesus’ mission. Reflect on how you can actively participate in God’s work today. Are you ready to step out in faith and be part of His kingdom mission?
Prayer: Jesus, give me the courage to be an active participant in Your kingdom. Help me to trust in Your plan and be willing to serve wherever You lead.
