The Blessings of Being an Heir of God

At Lakeview Christian Church of Portage Lakes, our mission is to “Be the Change” as Jesus has changed us. We do this through “Just 3”: Study, Share, and Serve. We study to love and know God, share to know and love others, and serve to love in action. Today, we explore the incredible blessings that come with being an heir of God through Jesus Christ.

Access to God’s Blessings

Because Jesus died on the cross and rose from the grave, we have access to all kinds of blessings from God. These blessings are not just for our future in heaven but also for our lives here on earth.

Romans 8:32 says, “He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all—how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?” This verse assures us that God, who sacrificed His Son for us, will also provide us with everything we need.

A Better Life Through Christ

As parents, we often wish for our children to have a better life than we had. Similarly, God desires for us to have a better life. John 10:10 tells us, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Jesus came to give us a life filled with joy, peace, and purpose.

Faith in Action

One person put it this way: “Faith isn’t just pie in the sky when we die; it’s also steak on the plate while we wait.” This quote beautifully captures the essence of living a blessed life through faith. Our faith in Jesus brings tangible blessings and fulfillment in our daily lives.

Study, Share, Serve

At Lakeview Christian Church, we believe in living out our faith through “Just 3”: Study, Share, and Serve.

1. Study: We study the Bible to understand the promises and blessings of God. Through regular Bible study, we grow in our knowledge and faith.
2. Share: We share our testimonies and experiences of God’s blessings with others. By doing so, we encourage and inspire others to seek a relationship with Jesus.
3. Serve: We serve our community as a reflection of God’s love and blessings. Through acts of service, we demonstrate the transformative power of faith in action.
