Intentional Living: Walking with Purpose

intentional

At Lakeview Christian Church of Portage Lakes, we believe in being the change as Jesus has changed us. This transformation calls us to live intentionally, reflecting Christ in every aspect of our lives. Jim’s recent sermon emphasized the importance of being intentional in our Christian walk, urging us to integrate our faith into everyday activities.

Intentionality in Daily Life

Being intentional means living with purpose and direction. As Christians, our purpose is to glorify God and share His love with others. Colossians 3:17 reminds us, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

Study: Deepening Our Relationship with God

To live intentionally, we must first know God deeply. This begins with studying His Word, praying, and meditating on His truths. Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” By immersing ourselves in Scripture, we equip ourselves to live purposefully and reflect Christ’s light.

Share: Building Relationships with Intent

Jim’s sermon highlighted the importance of building relationships with those we encounter daily. Whether at the grocery store or gas station, every interaction is an opportunity to share Christ’s love. By intentionally engaging with others, we can plant seeds of hope and encouragement. As 1 Peter 3:15 advises, “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.”

Serve: Love in Action

Intentional living also involves serving others. Jesus exemplified servanthood, and we are called to follow His example. Galatians 5:13 encourages us, “Serve one another humbly in love.” By serving with purpose, we demonstrate the transformative power of Christ’s love.

Conclusion

Living intentionally as followers of Christ means integrating our faith into every aspect of our lives. By studying God’s Word, sharing His love, and serving others, we fulfill our mission to be the change. Let us commit to living with purpose, reflecting the light of Christ in all we do.
