Ever feel like you have been wrestling with God? Sometimes we find ourselves in a similar situation as Jacob actually wrestling with God. There are a few things we can learn from his experience and we invite you to join us this weekend.

Jesus accomplished His crowning moment when He conquered grave, sin, and death. However, He still had a few things left to teach or remind us of before He turned over the keys to His Kingdom. Join us this weekend as we look at a few of the final commands that Jesus give us to continue to usher in His Kingdom!

IT IS FINISHED… HE’S NO LONGER HERE… HE IS ALIVE!
All three statements tell of the victory of Jesus over death and sin and forever changed the course of history from hopelessness to hope. The choice is yours. God has revealed His kingdom and made a way to restore what was once called good back into relationship between creation and Creator.
Join us in worship this Easter as we celebrate the King of all Kings, and while you’re at it… invite a friend that could use some hope.

What is typically your response when you are expecting one thing and what you get is exactly the opposite? Some of us might be gracious, however I think if we are honest not many of us respond well.
Palm Sunday is the beginning of the story of the final clash between what was expected about Jesus and what was actually offered.
Join us as we look at the building tension that ultimately leads to God giving exactly what we all needed even though most didn’t even know it.

It’s been said that forgiveness is what everyone wants but no one likes to give. Jesus knew this and reveals more and more of His upside down kingdom of God specifically to Peter. In reading Matthew, we also can learn that forgiveness is not just something to receive but is required to be extended to even the deepest offenses and offenders in our lives.

Who do you say that Jesus is? That is the question that Jesus asked his disciples in the book of Matthew. Not so coincedently that question also is for us 2000 some years later. Jesus came to offer humanity hope and to be a savior… it just wasn’t quite what or how people were expecting. Jesus’ Kingdom wasn’t forceful, violent, or political; it was quite the opposite.
Join us this weekend as we continue to explore who Jesus is and why He came. Also we are excited to share with you all Lakeview Christian Preschools: Preschool Sunday 2023!

There are quite a few important storied of Jesus that we could look at that reveal the Kingdom of God. Join us this weekend as we take a look at a miracle that is in a different category than almost every other act of Jesus while he was on earth; the feeding of the five thousand.
In this story the miracle is not only focused on what was provided for the crowd but as we will learn Jesus’ intention might have been just as much as a teachable moment as meeting a physical need.

After Jesus had revealed to the crowds a glimpse of what The Kingdom of God looks like through many signs and wonders we get introduced to a teaching style that we know as Parables. These short and relatable stories were not always easy to understand and were even intended to thin the crowd.
Why might Jesus do this? Join us this week as we discover why Jesus might have intentionally spoke in what seemed like riddles.

Jesus was in known for many things during His time spent on earth, of those the spectacular healings and miracles were probably the most impactful. A lot of the time it wasn’t so much about the actual healing but it was about the heart and faith behind the person asking to be healed.
“We all need to courageously approach the throne of grace, and in obedience to God’s word give our lives to Him unto salvation, and surrender to serve His Kingdom.”
